Austria/Germany

When I asked Jess to try and get a few of the kids to post comments on the blog, I told her I would create a new post for when they got to Austria and Germany. I still can't believe they are down to their last week!

Italy

Jess called and said that the hotel they are in now is like a castle. She said the rooms are small, but the place is huge and beautiful. Everytime I talk to her, I hear lots of people in the background laughing, sounds like they are having a good time! She has said that the sites have been "cool" and the food "delicious". She is really looking forward to the Full On experience tomorrow. I believe they will be doing it with the delegation from NYC. She said they have also met a delegation from Montana (? or somewhere out west). I can't wait to see all the photos she has taken. I believe she has taken over 500 so far!

Blog Time

Just an FYI - most Google sites are on West Coast time - including Blogger. So, the time listed as when each post is made to the blog is three hours behind our time. That might be important when looking at issues about flights, delays and travel.

On Their Way!

Well, now that we all stopped sniffling....! I can’t believe they are finally on their way. It seems like just yesterday we were sitting in the auditorium of the NYS Ed Building! Hopefully they will practice their count-off on the bus ride!!

Thanks for the Blog April

Thanks April. This is a great idea. I know that Caitlin will certainly email her friends and siblings if she gets close to a computer while gone. I'm not so sure that she will contact her parents, and she opted not to get a calling card. With parents sharing information I know that I will feel better about how she is doing.

I looked at the Australia blog and all of the parents have a done a great job with keeping each other informed of flight delays, activities, and what the group is doing.

Getting Ready To Go

Well, Jess is packed and ready to go (almost!). My friend's sister createda blog to keep in touch with her daughter and the other students that just left for Australia. I figured we could do the same thing! Fee free to post anything, anytime!
